Ladies, gentlemen, and Joe, I present to you page number 1, where the story begins!
-> dA's new layout will allow you to find the next and previous pages respectively simply by clicking the left and right arrows at the bottom of your screen, so I don't need to do all this awkward linking anymore. <-
Very considerate!

"Arcs" are going to be the equivalent of books and "Days" the equivalent of chapters, if you like... You'll understand later why I've chosen this format!

Sweet! This is opening in considerably more dramatic fashion than the previous version.

Those waves are a perfect opening. Starting out gentle, and then providing us with a glimpse of destruction. It's almost like a compromise between an action-heavy opening and a softer one, easing us in with questions and the urge to see more. I'm really going to try not to compare too much with the original, but here I cannot help it; this is so much more dynamic a page than the first page of version 1.

Also, ending on a panel of an eye is a nifty little hook, almost putting us (the readers) in the place of the character as we open our eyes to begin feasting upon the plot to find out exactly what is happening here.
